All GaGe high-speed PCIe Digitizers are supported by this new Thunderbolt 3 expansion platform.
| Thunderbolt 3 provides the largest bit-rate capacity interface possible at up to 40 Gbps (5 GB/s) over a USB-C connector to support a variety of protocols including PCI Express (PCIe).
In Thunderbolt 3 mode, up to four lanes of PCIe Gen3 is supported for a maximum rate of 32 Gbps (4 GB/s); making it an ideal match for optimal data transfer performance of high-speed GaGe PCIe Gen3 Digitizers to connected PC devices. A PC system device with an active Thunderbolt 3 port is required to connect to the Thunderbolt 3 PCIe Expansion Box, which is supplied with an included Thunderbolt 3 USB-C cable, for proper operation. Standard USB ports will not work with this Thunderbolt 3 PCIe Expansion Box. The Thunderbolt 3 PCIe Expansion Box features a single PCIe Gen3 x4 (x16 mechanical) slot that supports a full-height full-length single or double width PCIe card. Power and cooling to support high-performance PCIe instrument cards is ensured with a built-in 650W power supply unit, internal 120mm exhaust cooling fan, and panel ventilation. The chassis also features a convenient top carry handle for ease of portability. |
